rhapsody in blue (2020)

The COVID has inspired my most recent series. This inspiration —as shown through my vibrant palette—reflects a significant contrast with the dark climate in which we now live. Gershwin’ Rhapsody in Blue has energized and encouraged the brush strokes that are both musical and gestural, as well. After my most recent trip to Chile (January-February 2022) I began to paint works inspired by the Chilean Pacific Ocean and its energy. In this process again the Rhapsody in Blue music inspired my works.
