In my work entitled Ritual, I have connected with my deepest roots seeking my inner childhood and uncover the shadows stored in the subconscious. Through spontaneous movement that could be described as a pure gestalt, the blank canvas and I merged together as one entity. Without planning or forethought, my bare feet began to walk upon the canvas to become the creative energy that guided my subconscious, mixing together the still-wet paints, the reds and blues. In this way, a dialogue was created between both ends of the canvas. The water, used to mix the paints, represents the purifying element that dilutes and mixes to complete the flow and liberate the previous forms—a pictorial alchemy
